Prophet Muhammad was born in Makkah in 570 AD, and was raised by his uncle since his parents had passed away. He was illiterate and remained so until he died. The people of his society were mostly illiterate and ignorant of science. Throughout his life, Muhammad was known for his honesty, trustworthiness, generosity, and sincerity, and was even given the nickname "the Trustworthy." He was highly religious and despised the idolatry and decadence of his society.
